Roger West’s 2019 Year in Review

It’s a tale as old as time. At the dawn of a new era, the Internet awakens. Feeds fill up with Spotify Wrapped stories, gratuitous glow-up posts comparing the start of the decade to its imminent end, and unwavering optimism for the future. Participating in such a cultural phenomenon is human nature. In a lot of ways, it demonstrates the best parts of the human condition. To share and to evolve (which are NOT to be confused with bragging about how trendy you are or how much better looking you got when you finally stopped over-plucking your eyebrows).

Roger West is no different. The agency is a fan of a good highlights reel, and has a time-honored tradition of taking a public look back into the past to fuel up for the future. This year, the ritual review continues. 2019 was a year of BIG changes and bold moves for the agency, chock full of deadlines, new clients, new team members, awards, and one suuuuuper secret thing that we can’t talk aboutyet.

So, yeah. 2019 was pretty great.

We got 11 new clients, achieved 100% growth year over year, and still managed to strengthen our relationships with our existing clients, including some incredible developments with our friends at Fleming’s Steakhouse and The Villages Health. 2019 also marks 11 years with many of our legacy clients - because they just can’t get enough of Roger West (and we can’t get enough of them!).

We’re pretty proud of the work we’ve done for them, including:

  • Helping The Villages Health achieve a 300% increase of leads captured in CRM and a 200% increase in new patient acquisition.
  • Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar’s new website helped elevate the brand and provide better guest experiences through increased targeting and functionality. We also expanded our relationship with Fleming's by taking on their paid media initiatives.
  • Roy’s Restaurant’s new paid search strategy yielded a 532% increase in reservations and a 522% increase in mobile call conversions.

This year, the Tampa Bay Business Journal honored Roger West as one of the 2019 Best Places To Work and DesignRush named us as a Top Digital Marketing Agency in Florida. These accolades wouldn’t have come our way if it weren’t for the great support we get from our team and clients - and we are thrilled to have been recognized for the level of service we aspire to provide.

We celebrated the growth of the agency by welcoming 6 new and fabulous members to the Roger West family and by doing that one top secret thing that you’ll be hearing about pretty darn soon.

In case you couldn’t tell, Roger West had a pretty unbeatable 2019, and we’re looking forward to breaking new records, making big moves, and working with the clients who inspire us to work harder and smarter, all at once. We’re also looking forward to more donuts, cookies, bagels, taco boxes, and the occasional mimosa.

Of course, 2019 wouldn’t be complete without one more agency-wide “THANK YOU” to all of our friends, colleagues, vendors, partners, UberEats drivers, and most importantly our clients for making this year better than the last. Cheers to many more.
