PDQ’s Website Has a Fresh Take on Fast Food

When PDQ first came to Roger West, they had been featured in the Tampa Bay Business Journal for being “on the cusp of a major expansion that could take it from regional favorite to national brand.” In response to their exponential growth and recognition in the restaurant industry, PDQ asked Roger West to update their website to match their burgeoning brand.

Industry  /  Restaurant

PDQ – short for “People Dedicated to Quality” – was founded in 2011 to lead the charge in blurring the lines between fast food and fast-casual. Known for their high-touch, high-integrity approach to fast and fast food – PDQ crafts delicious salads, sandwiches, and hand-spun milkshakes fresh in-store, every day. PDQ is committed to creating deep roots in its local communities and gives thousands of dollars to local charities, schools, and organizations in need every year.

Outback Steakhouse co-founder Bob Basham and MVP Holdings CEO Nick Reader are the two principal owners of PDQ. The concept now has 55 locations throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

Design That Works Up an Appetite

PDQ teamed up with Roger West to complete a rebrand and develop a new online presence to help pave the way for future growth. Roger West’s design team opted to feature evocative food imagery throughout the website, focusing on signature PDQ dishes and sides, like chicken sandwiches, homemade sauces, and fresh waffle fries.

One of the restaurant’s differentiators is its commitment to using fresh, quality ingredients. Roger West used a modern, inviting photography treatment to illustrate the fresh produce, herbs, and spices that go into every PDQ menu item. The result was an appetizing website aesthetic with superior functionality bringing it all together.

Pretty Darn Good Development

Roger West collaborated with PDQ to develop user-friendly site architecture that incorporated engaging videos and built the site within Progress Sitefinity CMS, an enterprise-level .NET content management system. Sitefinity simplifies edits on the backend, allowing PDQ to easily add or edit news posts, community events, special promotions, and more. Roger West also managed third-party Nutritionix integration, as well as SEO and ADA compliance.

PDQ’s website is fast, responsive, and displays an easy-to-use navigation. The website, including downloadable menus and a location finder, was optimized for high-performance on all devices: desktop, tablet, and mobile. The award-winning restaurant website significantly increased web and mobile traffic, generating qualified leads to help position PDQ for explosive growth.

We’re thrilled with the new website; it’s a much better reflection of our brand as a fresh and modern take on fast food. The site is not only aesthetically pleasing, it’s also easier for our guests to navigate, and provides more information about our food and our brand story. Roger West has built a place for us to connect with and engage our fans.”
