Roger West’s work with Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is honored for the best in website creativity, design, user experience, functionality and overall presentation.

TAMPA, FLORIDA—April 6, 2016: Roger West today announced that Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo website (www.lowryparkzoo.org), designed and built by the digital agency, has been named a 2015 Progress® Sitefinity™ Website of the Year winner in the Graphic Design category. Since its inception in 2011, the Sitefinity Website of the Year awards have been recognizing Sitefinity-powered websites for creativity, design, user experience, functionality and overall website presentation.

Roger West developed the Lowry Park Zoo’s responsive website using Sitefinity CMS, an enterprise-level content management system. The engaging site positions the zoo as a leader in wildlife conservation as well as a destination hot spot with exciting things to do and learn. The site features an extensive database for multiple content types (animals, activities, events, etc.), which are strategically placed to drive traffic, engage visitors and increase conversions for ticket sales, memberships, special events and fundraising goals. The new site has helped to increase online sales by 151%. Learn more.

“Congratulations to Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo on this incredible achievement,” said Svetozar Georgiev, Senior Vice President of Application Platforms, Progress. “Without exception, all of the winning companies have proven their dedication to creating a sophisticated and engaging web presence with the help of Telerik Sitefinity CMS.”

Telerik, a Progress company, reviewed more than 50 nominations across 18 categories: Intranet, Ecommerce, Multisite, Consumer Goods, Food & Beverages, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Education, Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, Associations, Non-Profit, Services, Sports & Entertainment, Tourism & Hospitality and Graphic Design. Each category had three finalists and one website was selected as the winner through public voting. Close to 8,000 people participated in the voting process this year.

“We are honored to receive this award from our partners at Progress. We chose Sitefinity because it is an exceptional product that meets the Zoo’s needs for managing a growing library of data-driven digital content,” said Shanna Kurpe, Vice President of Roger West. “I’m proud of our team, and grateful for the opportunity to work on such a meaningful project in our community.”
