The work of Roger West Creative & Code, a digital marketing agency located in Tampa, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia, earns an honorable mention at the 2009 MarketingSherpa Email Marketing Awards.

Tampa, FL – April 17, 2009MarketingSherpa, a market research firm recognizing marketing campaigns that work, announced the winners of the 2009 Email Marketing Awards. Paradigm Learning, a client of Roger West Creative and Code, earned an honorable mention in the Best Email Opt-in Campaign category for their business-to-business conversion marketing campaign titled "Leading in Tough Economic Times". The campaign was designed and developed by the Tampa Bay area marketing agency Roger West Creative and Code.

In collaboration with Forum Corporation, Paradigm Learning created a training toolkit for managers titled Leading in Tough Economic Times, designed as a free resource to help managers lead their organizations during a turbulent economic period. The company turned to Roger West Creative to help promote the toolkit. “We’ve worked with Roger West on dozens of campaigns, so naturally we turned to them for help with this one. They are the local experts when it comes to conversion marketing,” says Diana Blackburn, Manager of Marketing Communications for Paradigm Learning.

Paradigm Learning had two goals for the campaign: to establish themselves as the leader in the area of discovery learning and management training programs, and to generate qualified leads for their corporate training programs. To accomplish those goals, Roger West created a conversion marketing campaign consisting of several HTML emails and microsites.

The HTML email submitted for the award targeted managers and other business leaders. Overall, the campaign yielded a 23.8% open-rate, a 62.6% click-through rate, and a 50.1% conversion rate – statistics that are more than double the industry standard. “The results from the Leading in Tough Economic Times campaign were very impressive. Our entire team was thrilled to find out that we had exceeded our goals,” stated Blackburn.

“It’s like Sherpa says, they reward email campaigns that work. This campaign was chosen because it worked for our client. That’s what we do – we provide marketing solutions that work,” says Michael Westafer, CEO of Roger West. “In fact, the campaign is still working, delivering 2-3 qualified leads per day,” adds Westafer.
