How to Manage Bulk Redirects in Sitefinity

November 20, 2018   /   by  Michael Westafer

At Roger West, we’ve been developing enterprise-level websites in Sitefinity, a top-tier content management system and digital experience platform, for over a decade. We love Sitefinity – we’re a Gold level partner, have Sitefinity-certified developers and we’ve won Sitefinity’s Website of the Year twice now (once for PDQ and once for Outback Steakhouse.)

But, still, when working on Sitefinity websites, we kept running into the same challenge. While it’s easy to create a redirect in Sitefinity (pointing an old URL to a new one), there was no easy way to set up hundreds of redirects at once…which you often need to do when redesigning a large site.

Redirecting hundreds of web pages, old blog posts or news articles one at a time can be a cumbersome and time-consuming task. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

So, we decided to create our own solution, a redirect module that could manage bulk redirects for an entire website.

Progress, the company that offers the Sitefinity platform, even thought our Redirect Module was pretty cool. You can read all about it on their site here – Innovative Solution: Managing Bulk Redirects in Sitefinity.

Want to use it for your own site? We gotcha. Let’s Talk.
